Synopsis

An unexpected encounter with a stranger jolts young single mother Marlene out of her unsatisfying everyday life. Fueled by the provocative dynamics of her new friend, Marlene plunges into the unknown. But in her search for freedom, fragmentary images from Marlene’s childhood come to the fore more and more often, reawakening her repressed childhood trauma.

About the Director

Naira Cavero Orihuel was born in Munich in 1988 and discovered her love for the Theater early on, which lead her to study Directing at the HFF Munich and the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires in 2011.

In addition to shooting numerous short films, she received Commercial film awards from the Bavarian State Ministry and the New York Film Festival

In 2022 she completed her studies with her first feature film WUT AUF KUBA which premiered at FILMFEST MUNICH and received the YOUNG TALENT AWARD for BEST ACTING.
